B Corp is not a product label. It is a certification of the entire company: its governance, its workers, its community, the environment and its customers. Under the new B Lab Standards, companies are assessed across seven Impact Topics (see below) and verified by approved independent auditors.
But here's the key insight: you don't need to be pursuing certification to benefit from the B Lab Standards. The Impact Business Model is a powerful tool for any business — regardless of size, sector, or stage — that wants to understand and improve its impact.
